Terms of Use
By using the Scribblitt Website (the “Website") and by participating in the activities on
the Website, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by all terms and
conditions mentioned below, to our PRIVACY POLICY and any other pertinent rules or
policies that are or may be published by Scribblitt from time to time.
The Website is owned and operated by Mountain Stone Inc. (PO Box 230695, New York, NY 10023)
If you have any questions, they can be sent to: contact@scribblitt.com
Some of the paragraphs that follow this introduction contain legal or other terms that
may be new to you. Because these terms and conditions are important, if there is
anything that you do not understand, you should show them to your parent or someone else
who may be more familiar with this kind of language and ask for their help in
understanding the information.
PARENTAL CONSENT
Under the United States Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"), parental
consent is required for the online collection, use and/or disclosure of personal
information obtained from a child under the age of 13.
As part of the registration process for the Website, and in compliance with the
regulations set out by COPPA, if you are under 13, we ask you to provide us with a
parent's e-mail address for notification purposes.
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information.
PARENTAL NOTICE
It is important to talk with your child about using the Internet safely. Here are just a
few things to keep in mind:
- Remind your child to never give out his or her full name, address or phone number or
any other information that would enable someone to locate, contact or identify him
or her, without your permission. Help them make up creative and unique user names
and passwords and advise them to keep their password secret.
- Tell your child that if they receive something that they are not sure about, or if
another user says or does something that they don’t like or know is wrong, to let
you know.
- Impress upon your child the importance of never engaging in a communication or
activity that would put them at risk.
SECURITY
As part of the registration process, you will select a Password and a User Name, to
create a new user account (the "Account"). You may not (a) select or use a User Name of
another person with the intent to impersonate that person; (b) use a name that someone
else owns without having the right to use it; or (c) use a User Name that we think is
inappropriate or offensive. When you create a screen name, DO NOT use your real name or
any other information that may allow someone to contact, locate or identify you. Try to
think of something special and different to use for your user name and password.
You must notify the Website if you know of or suspect any unauthorized use(s) of your
Account, or if you know of or suspect any breach of security, including loss, theft, or
unauthorized disclosure of your password. You are responsible for maintaining the
confidentiality of your password. We can terminate your Account immediately if we
believe that there has been any fraudulent, abusive, or otherwise illegal activity
regarding your Account, and we may report that kind of activity to appropriate
law-enforcement agencies.
If you have reason to believe that your Account is no longer secure (for example, if
there has been a loss, theft, or unauthorized disclosure or use of your User Name, or
Password), you must change your Password as soon as possible and you should tell us
about the problem.
CANCELLATION
You may notify us that you wish to cancel your membership at any time. We reserve the
right at any time to change the terms of membership, or to stop servicing the Website or
to change all or any part of the Website.
If, we, at any time, believe that you have not complied with or neglected to follow any
term or provision of this Membership Agreement, we have the right to either suspend or
terminate your access and your Account. If we do that, we will not have any further
obligation to you and you will not be able to access the Website. We reserve the right
to suspend any Account that has been inactive for six (6) months or more. If your
account has been suspended for inactivity, you may reactivate it.
RETURN POLICY
Scribblitt does not accept returns.
